The Final Year University Project, which investigated the development of content management systems with the use of a custom PHP library and web APIs. The aims were to research and develop a content management system with an ecommerce system. Once developed the system was evaluated against commercially available content management systems.
Developed during the Interactive Internet Technologies module, to demonstrate the technologies that can be incorporated within a website. The technologies used were PHP MYSQL, to create dynamic content which is easliy updatable, XML, to create an RSS feed pharsed through PHP, JavaScript, to create a drop down login register menu via the use of jQuery.
Design and hand code W3C valid XHTML and CSS layouts, which are then tested in all the main browsers e.g. Internet Explorer 6,7 & 8, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and more.
Expertise in the design and development of web sites, handling all aspects of creating a web site, e.g. hand coding XHTML and CSS, database creation with PHP interaction, graphic optimisation and JavaScript to build a strong interactive web site. I can work from your project brief or offer advice into the best way to construct your web site.
